100% Committed
The 100% Committed team works towards getting the State of Colorado to make the commitment to 100% renewable electricity.
100% Committed
The 100% Committed team works towards getting the State of Colorado to make the commitment to 100% renewable electricity. Committee team members collaborate with other environmental groups several times a month to work on strategize ways to work toward this goal. A change to 100% renewable electricity would be a huge win, however we focus not only on the large scale but also on how to get cities, towns, businesses, schools, universities, and individuals to be a part of this mission. We will be developing our strategy this year to approach each of these entities and hope you will join us in the future.
100% Committed Team Win!
The 100% Committed Team has spent time learning from Jonathan Rogers with the City of Denver's Renewable Energy Specialist in the Office of Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency. Our meetings with him helped us learn about the upcoming release of Denver's Climate Tax to help non-profits to lessen their impact and energy bills.
Our team helped prepare the Greater Park Hill Community (GPHC) to get ready to apply for funds. GPHC was already certified as a Green Business and has achieved Outstanding Status with the Sustainable Neighborhood Network. GPHC has applied for funding to go 100% Renewable Electricity and was awarded in June for funding.
Congratulations to the 100% Committed Team!!!!
Renewables are the Future
100% Renewable is 100% Doable with Your Help
Year after year, the cost of wind, solar, and other renewable energy technologies continues to fall. In more and more regions of the US and around the world, energy from renewables is as cheap or cheaper than dirty fossil fuel energy. The result: shifting to 100 percent renewable electricity is easier and more affordable than most people realize, allowing you not only cut emissions but often also trim costs and save money in a big way.
